Customisation is a site’s ability to modify itself to – or be modified by - each user. Customisation that initiated and managed by the user is called personalization. We can personalize our own information and details in Dell’s website. Whereas, customization that initiated and managed by the firm is called tailoring.

Tailoring based on the past user behaviour and makes recommendations to the user. Therefore, Dell’s website has based on user’s preferences and lets user upgrade their warranty status, expired warranty service, Dell service contracts and so on.
